Alice Girouard

Psychologist

Dr. Alice Girouard, psychologist, holds a doctorate in psychology from the Université de Montréal (2024) and completed her clinical training in health psychology at the McGill University Health Centre. Alice is currently completing a postdoctoral research fellowship in sexual health at Dalhousie University (2024–2027). Her research focuses on risk and protective factors related to sexual health, as well as the identification of treatment targets and the evaluation of couples therapy effectiveness in promoting sexual desire.

Alice supports individuals and couples facing a range of challenges, including genito-pelvic pain, low sexual desire, difficulties conceiving and fertility journeys, perinatal issues, difficulties with emotional regulation and boundary-setting, burnout, anxiety and depression, and personal growth. She also works with athletes experiencing performance anxiety, body image concerns, and career transition challenges at the end of their athletic careers.

For Alice, being a psychologist is a true privilege — one that allows her to accompany individuals toward greater fulfillment and well-being. Grounded in cognitive-behavioural and humanistic theories, the pillars of her approach are authenticity, empathy, and the promotion of autonomy.

Alice offers consultations in both English and French, in person and virtually.
