Stéphanie Gauthier

Psychologist

Stéphanie holds a Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D./Ph.D.) from the Université du Québec à Montréal, where her research focuses on emotion regulation strategies in adolescents.

As part of her clinical training, she has worked with both adults and adolescents experiencing difficulties related to anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem, and interpersonal challenges. This experience has allowed her to develop a particular sensitivity to relational dynamics and the unique life journeys of each individual.

Her therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, while integrating elements of intersubjective and object relations theories. She views psychotherapy as a space for authentic human connection, where the therapeutic relationship itself serves as a catalyst for transformation, self-understanding, and the acceptance of one’s inner experience.

Stéphanie places great importance on fostering a therapeutic relationship characterized by respect, sensitivity, and collaboration. She aims to create a safe environment that supports a deep exploration of personal history, relational patterns, and emotional experiences within the context of each person's unique story. She accompanies individuals on a journey toward greater self-understanding and a gradual movement toward a balance between change and acceptance.
